Over the last weekend of March 2019, Shearn Delamore & Co.’s lawyers and partners participated in the SIAC KL Conference.
Our partner, Ms Shanti Mogan moderated the panel on managing a case under the expedited procedure of the SIAC rules 2016 from both the perspective of the Tribunal as well as that of the Secretariat whilst Ms. Soo Siew Mei, partner from our dispute resolution practice group, facilitated the workshop on drafting and handling an application for expedited procedure from a practitioner’s perspective.
It was a pleasure to be a part of this conference where participants were allowed had been given a true insight from various perspectives, from that of the arbitration practitioner, the Tribunal to that of the Secretariat.
We also enjoyed a great fellowship session over drinks, courtesy of Messrs Chooi & Company + Cheang & Ariff (‘CCA’) @ Loke Mansion. We extend our gratitude to Messrs CCA and the University of Malaya for having us.
