On 1 April 2019, Shearn Delamore & Co was honored to host the 2019 INTA Roundtable titled “Online Disputes and WIPO IP Arbitration and Mediation”. Chaired by Shearn Delamore’s Intellectual Property and TMT partner, Janet Toh, we were joined by an eminent guest panel of experts, Chiara Accornero of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) Arbitration and Mediation Center in Singapore, Nivedita Venkatraman, an International Case Counsel at the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC), and Shearn Delamore’s dispute resolution partner, Lilien Wong, together with Seth Hays of the International Trademark Association (INTA). The program for the Roundtable introduced participants to the work of WIPO and AIAC, and included discussions on recent arbitration cases as well as issues to consider when applying ADR in relation to IP and technology disputes.
