The Asia IP Awards named top trademarks, patents and copyright practices in Asia-Pacific as determined by in-house counsels from Asia, Europe and the United States of America.
Our patent practice deals with various aspects of patent protection ranging from patent filing and prosecution work to advisory, transactions and litigation. Our partners Karen Abraham, Indran Shanmuganathan, Timothy Siaw, Zaraihan Shaari, Jyeshta Mahendran and Michelle Loi are active in our patent practice.
One of the highlights of our patent practice is that we successfully represented Merck Sharp & Dohme Corp (MSD) at the Federal Court whereby the Federal Court made a rare move in overruling its previous decision (i.e. the SKB Shutters case). The Awards ceremony was held on 8 Nov 2019 in Taipei and was attended by our partner Indran Shanmuganathan, who was the lead counsel who represented MSD (together with Zaraihan Shaari, Michelle Loi, Yap Khai Jian and Elisia Engku Kangon) in the abovementioned Federal Court case.
